~ Canaan Archives ~
Dogi and I had often discussed sailing west of Esteria and Celceta, into the uncharted waters of the Atlas Ocean . We never expected to make the journey so soon, but when the Romun army came looking for me, an old friend of mine from a previous adventure came to my rescue, and off we went! Regrettably, we were quickly shipwrecked in the Vortex of Canaan, washing ashore on a small island populated by pointy-eared locals known as the Rehda . These locals seem to worship a race of 'winged ones,' which sounds all too familiar . Further study may be required ...

~ A Cornerstone of Ys Series Lore ~
Tying into Ys history in ways that have far-reaching implications for the series as a whole, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim is replete with shocking revelations and familiar faces while still telling a completely standalone tale, making it ideal for newcomers and veterans alike.
Long-time fans who have played Ys I & II Chronicles, Ys Origin, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys: Memories of Celceta will certainly appreciate learning more about the Winged Ones, the Black Pearl, the Darklings, the Galbas, and the land of Eresia.
~ Elemental Blades ~
Three unique swords await Adol in his quest, each providing him with an extra elemental attack and a powerful magic spell alike when unlocked, greatly enhancing his already sizable battle repertoire and keeping the action fresh.
Livart, the Sword of Wind: A heavy but aerodynamic blade. With proper timing, Adol can finish off any Livart sword combo with up to five (or more?) powerful whirlwind blasts. Livart's magic spawns an enormous tornado that repeatedly slices anyone or anything unlucky enough to get caught in its pull.
Brillante, the Sword of Fire: The heaviest and most unwieldy of the three blades, yet by far the most powerful. Grants Adol the ability to unleash a devastating charged flame attack. Brillante's magic hurls a massive fireball at and through every foe between Adol and the nearest wall.
Ericcil, the Sword of Lightning: A lightweight blade resembling a fencing foil. The static electricity Adol builds up through repeated thrusts can briefly transform him into a ball of lightning. Ericcil's magic fires a bolt of electricity that bounces to and fro, striking every enemy in the immediate area (possibly multiple times!).
~ New & Exclusive Content ~
Originally released in Japan in 2003, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim has seen numerous iterations on numerous gaming platforms, but none have been quite like this one...
Catastrophe Mode: Taking a page from Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim's followup titles Ys: The Oath in Felghana and Ys Origin, the optional "Catastrophe Mode" allows players to challenge themselves to a campaign where healing items can't be stocked and are instead used instantly on pickup, necessitating careful strategy and an absolute mastery of combat technique.
Enhanced Wing of Alma: In response to overwhelming demand from the Ys fanbase, the "Wing of Alma" item has been updated to allow players to teleport to any save monolith they've encountered in their travels, as opposed to simply exiting the current dungeon. This cuts down on needless backtracking in areas with weak enemies.
